Emscherkunst.2010

Filmmaker Saschko Frey has been tracking the EMSCHERKUNST.2010 project with his camera since 2008, delivering an intense impression of the artists, their ideas, and selected locations along the Emscher.
The result, a series of episodes on the genesis of this unique art project, is presented here by 2010LAB.tv.

The exhibition EMSCHERKUNST.2010 has a motto: „change through culture - culture through change“, and has two objectives in the course of RUHR.2010 being European Capital of Culture: one is to follow the biggest European renaturation project with its various artistic endeavours and landscape architecture changes, and the other is the discussion about the future perspectives of European metropolises.
