Next Generation - creativity has to be contagious!

„What will your future look like?“ The participants of the project Next Generation tackle that question. Ten teams, consisting of young people cooperating with artists, deal with aspects of their future, and possible developments and changes in their respective towns. They will talk and discuss about their visions from January till December 2010.

In October 2010, all participants will be on the stage of the Schauspielhauses Bochum together: they will transfer their stories and visions into dance, singing, and rap performances. Next Generation does not only offer an opportunity of being creative, but also the chance to confront you own future in a changing metropole. In any case, it should be contagious!

City

Metropole Ruhr
These days, more than 5 million inhabitants do experience the transformation of their post- industrial Ruhr area in the western part of Germany to an exciting European „place to be“, a budding metropolis in a post-Capital of Culture 2010 identification process with its industrial culture as part of a collective memory being a characteristic feature – and an orchestrated mass event.
