100 young talents in Brussels

2009 was the European "year of creativity and innovation". The European Commission and the Committee of The Regions were on the lookout for young creative talents in the following five areas:

- arts and culture
- science, research and innovation
- media, information and communication technology
- urban creativiy and urban development
- social innovations

2 talents from the Ruhr metropolis were among the chosen few in the field of "urban creativiity and urban development".
